To all of you for my little hiatus.  My daughter had her surgery on Tuesday.  Some of the newest pictures for Michelle's shower are here.  These are the pics for the sample party favors for each guest, and then there are also pictures of 2 of the finished door prize baskets.  A spa basket and a candle basket.  Check them out. 

Back to it...

Well my husband came back on Friday after a few weeks away with his military stuff.  Finally getting back into the swing of things with him home, but hadn't worked on my projects all weekend because we were just enjoying time together.  Now back to it!

 Exciting news, I have a job interview today.  For a receptionist in a law firm.  My first interview in years, well since before our 3 year old was conceived.  When I got pregnant with her I had complications so I quit working and stayed home.  We will see how things go.  Keep your fingers crossed please.

The updated pictures

Here are the AFTER pictures of my bedroom.  Loralei's room is next, but that will be a lengthy project!  Still have some other little touches to add, finishing putting the books on the bookshelves and candle pieces.  Then hanging some stuff on the walls and such.  Gotta finish Loralei's bed next.

Current Projects

My latest projects are keeping me so busy lately! I'm loving every minute of it though. 

Loralei, our 3 year old daughter keeps me hopping always.  My husband is away for the military at the moment and I'm missing him like crazy! He comes home Friday luckily and then does a few days of commuting back and forth.  Loralei is getting surgery in one week, getting her tonsils and adenoids taken out, plus getting ear tubes.  Scary, but I think it will be good for her.

I have been in the process of re-doing our bedroom, from brown/tan to purple.  I love it, and I'm hoping Craig will when he comes home.  I still haven't found some of the art/pictures that were supposed to go up on the walls, but cannot find them around my home at the moment.  So I have been searching the house.  My husband put them somewhere before he left and they are completely MIA.  Ugh!  I'm dying to get some decent new furniture, someday maybe we can afford to do that.

My other home projects is re-doing my daughter's room.  Awhile ago I did her room in a Tinkerbell theme, but she no longer likes Tinkerbell that much.

The pics with the windows were taken before we finished making the curtains to go in them so it only shows their valances.

And finally the project that I'm working on is Michelle's shower.  I have the invitations done and sent out, and I have been starting with the tree centerpieces, the bird banner, am still trying to contact my cake contact, have also started the gift baskets and have finished two of the games.

 On the right is the invitations that i used, found from www.expressionspaperie.com and the picture on the left are these cute little poems I wrote for a raffle we will be holding.  Whoever brings diapers and wipes gets a raffle ticket and wins a prize at the end.

 These are the directions I had printed of how to get to the hall we are holding the shower at, inserted into the envelopes

  This is the stencil I'm using to create the banner that will say "Congrats Michelle & Ryan!  Happy Baby Shower!"

These are the birds I made that people will guess the gender the baby will be since they are not finding out, the date that the baby will come and it's size.  Whoever is the closest will get flowers sent after the baby is born

On a poster board with the bird there will be a picture of both Ryan and Michelle up as a baby and we are putting together an album of the ultrasound pictures of the baby.

A New Day A New Project

My husband and I just finished with our vow renewal in June and finally did our big wedding.  Lots of pics and such to come so you can see examples of my work.  I am just starting to get together a portfolio of the work that I am capable of and trying to get a business card catalog going for myself to keep track of my contacts.  Determined to make this work!  Will be putting pics up of the things that I managed to do completely on my own, and then the things that some of my business contacts did for us at reasonable rates.

First party on my agenda list, Michelle's Baby Shower.  Got some ideas from another planner that has a site on here and I've really been running with it.  Her nursery theme is birds and so I've been doing the birds from top to bottom.  Found invites online, not happy with them and could have done a better job myself but they are out and over with.
